Estonian-Latin edition is published
1982
The first academic edition of the chronicle was published in 1982, with Enn Tarvel's thorough foreword and comments and parallel text in Latin.
The translation was mainly based on Leonid Arbusow's work, which gave it a very strong academic base and enabled everyone to use it, history professors and simple enthusiasts alike. Henry's chronicle proved to be very popular in Estonia, and thus two reprints were made of Kleis-Tarvel edition: in 1993 and 2005.
Final edition does not include the Latin text, also the spelling of some names has been changed, but other than that, compared to the edition of 1982, no changes have been made.
