The future emperor Aleksander III with his family stayed during the reign of his father repeatedly in Haapsalu and Pullapää located next to it, where in 1895 the monument of the emperor was set up.

In 1871 he, his wife Maria Fjodorovna and their children, including future Nikolai II, stayed for longer time in Haapsalu.

When Aleksander III got to the throne, he never happened to be in Haapsalu any more.
