Nikolai I unexpectedly in Tallinn

In 1838 the emperor Nikolai I was on his way back by ship from abroad when the storm broke out in the Gulf of Finland and the steam boiler broke down on the ship. Therefore the imperial company had to land in Tallinn and continue their way to St. Petersburg along the road.
