Treaty of Kärde

When Sweden had successful resolved the conflicts with the other countries around the Baltic Sea, and in 1660 signed the Peace of Oliva, it threatened to attack Russia. This forced Russia to agree to the Treaty of Kärde in 1661, by which it relinquished all conquered areas in Estonia and Livonia. The treaties of 1660-1661 marked the height of the Swedish kingdom.
