Karuse church

to map

1260

It was built in the 1260s, and may have functioned as Order's fort for some time. Otto von Lutterber, a Master of the Livonian Order, has been buried in the church, after he fell in a battle against Lithuanians, held on sea ice near the church.

There are numerous orbicular crosses from the XII to the XVII century near the church.
