The end of the Great Northen War - Estonia is tied to Russia

After Estonia and Livonia had fell to the hands of Russians in 1710, Sweden continued to struggle. In 1721, Sweden had to admit its defeat, and with the Treaty of Nystad, Russia received the Baltic governorates. With this, the Russian era, that lasted until 1918, had officially begun in Estonia.
