16. August 1625

Between 1622-1625 another truce was in effect, until Gustav II Adolf launched a new campaign. The siege was fruitful and so, all of the Estonian mainland was under the unilateral Swedish rule. Being used to the changes in the fortunes of war, the townsfolk of Tartu asked the Polish for a written confirmation, that they had defended the city well, but Poland's influence has not reached Estonia since.
