Johann Koell dies

Koell died in Tallinn, on May 16, 1540. The reason behind his death was probably the plague, which carried off several other XVI century writers who lived in Tallinn. Among those were Hans Susi, who died in 1549, he had compiled a hymnal and began to translate the Bible; in 1710, last great Livonin chronicle, Christian Kelch, died of the plague.
