19. March 1700

In their actions against the Danes, the Swedes could also count on the aid of English and Dutch navy, as the two countries were striving for peace in Northern Europe.

Under the aegis of these fleets, Sweden took 10,000 men to one of Denmark's largest islands, Sjaelland. Right after this, word was received that the king of Denmark and Duke of Holstein-Gottorf had signed the Peace of Travendall on August 7.

Sweden had to withdraw its forces, Denmark however, promised to step out of the alliance against Sweden
